Abstrak

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menyelidiki dampak sosial-ekonomi yang berbeda gender dari perjudian online di Indonesia. Teori Kekerasan Struktural yang dikembangkan oleh Johan Galtung digunakan untuk menyelidiki cara-cara di mana jaringan perjudian transnasional berkontribusi pada kelangsungan ketidaksetaraan sistemik. Berdasarkan analisis kualitatif dari sumber sekunder, yang mencakup studi kasus regional dan statistik dari pemerintah, ditemukan bahwa perempuan dikenakan beban emosional dan finansial yang tidak proporsional, berfungsi sebagai korban dan peserta yang tidak mau. Penelitian perbandingan antara Kamboja dan Filipina menjelaskan bagaimana kerangka hukum mempengaruhi penyebaran perjudian dan efek khusus gender dari perjudian di kedua negara. Menurut temuan penelitian, kekerasan struktural terhadap perempuan dilanggengkan karena beberapa alasan, termasuk kelemahan regulasi, ketidakstabilan ekonomi, dan stigma budaya. Penelitian ini diakhiri dengan rekomendasi untuk kolaborasi di tingkat ASEAN, perancangan kebijakan yang sensitif terhadap gender, dan program kesadaran publik untuk mengurangi dampak negatif dari faktor-faktor tersebut.
